Relationship: The Harm You Do When You Lie. Is Telling The Truth Hard?

Proverbs 28:13 states: He that covereth his sins shall not prosper but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.

Quote: I'd rather be hurt by your honesty than pleased or protected by your lies.  I can recover from the truth, but so much more is lost when a lie has been disclosed or discovered.  Walking and Talking in truth...is it really that hard to do?

  1. You've never lied! I would rather someone tell me the potentially hurtful truth than to wallow in the aftermath of a lie. Even if the person feels they are telling a 'little white lie' or lied to soften the impact of something they feel would be harsh, there's no such thing as a little white lie or softening the impact, a lie is a lie, that simple. And the repercussions of that are far worse than the repercussions of the truth!

Great comment. i totally agree. Unfortunately, it's definately much harder for a man. Just our make-up. Big Lie's and white lies are just the same. Once you start you can never stop. Hopefully, it will get better. The liars don't know, but they are hurtung themselves in the end. Hal
